The year has opened well for me, graced with favourable changes, meeting new people and living some parts of my dream. Its been a busy year end thats why i seem to have not updated my blog, sorry :) My new band, Gina Panizales Jazz Quartet has started to make their own little part in KL jazz scene which i'm very thankful for. They're a bunch of dedicated, talented musicians that possess the ability to adapt and learn like i still am doing as we speak. Our No Black Tie debut performance had great reviews and we're back on its calendar this Feb 10 and March 4, 2010. We're also performing for the upcoming Kota Kinabalu Jazz festival on June 2010. On the other hand, No Black Tie pays tribute to the great music of Bill Evans and i'm blessed to be a part of it, too. it's on Feb 25 and 26, 2010. Not forgetting Love's Tapestry thats hitting over a thousand copy sold soon. Last year was great and I could complain with what happening now. With hard work, hoping for a good year ahead. Yes, November will be busy. But October was, too. Had a great time at No Black Tie 11th year Anniversary with the arrangements of Maestro Ador Guerzo, graced by the elegant voice of Rachel Guerzo on vocals. I think we brought the house down! Next week starts the 2d batch of Love's Tapestry recording and looking forward to a different challenge with guitar, double bass and light percussion. Last recording was different with guitar and cello. GPjQ Showcases at SOULed Out and takes on 7ate Nine, Ascott KL. aint that cool? Add that to functions and events coming up. and its not even Christmas yet... But busy is a state of mind. Mind over mattter, they say... If you dont mind, it doesnt matter.

'cause a lot of good things been happening almost at the same time. Been extended at Souled Out till December...yay! Recording has started for 'Love's Tapestry" and Giantimeline's name has been changed to Gina Panizales Jazz Quartet or GPjQ. Reception has been great at Bangkok Jazz Thai Bistro, with my new man on keys Adrian, replacing Wei Li who's in UK doing his Masters. Kindly refer to my links...
